SpaceX is starting to move on from the world's most successful rocket

SpaceX is transitioning from the highly successful Falcon 9 rocket program toward the next generation as the Starship program enters its operational phase. SpaceX is preparing Starship V3, a larger and more powerful new configuration, for its 12th overall test flight planned for May 2026. By early 2026, individual Falcon 9 boosters have surpassed 30+ successful flights and landings, making SpaceX confident enough to shift focus toward Starship development for lunar and Mars exploration missions.
