Trump admin’s coal investments assist plants with repeated violations

The Trump administration funded 12 coal plants, at least three of which have been repeatedly cited for violating environmental regulations. The administration invested approximately $500 million in taxpayer funding for recommissioning and upgrading coal plants , and relaxed environmental enforcement following the unraveling of climate regulations.
