Grinex, a US-sanctioned Russia-linked cryptocurrency exchange, suspended operations after claiming a $13.1 million cyberattack by "unfriendly states." The Kyrgyzstan-based exchange, which facilitates Russian ruble-to-cryptocurrency trades, reported sophisticated infrastructure compromise and direct theft of digital assets from its wallets. The platform attributed the attack to state-backed actors from "unfriendly states" allegedly targeting Russia's financial sovereignty.
