Your doctor’s AI notetaker may be making things up, Ontario audit finds

Ontario's auditor general found that AI note-taking tools intended for use by doctors provided incorrect and incomplete information or demonstrated "hallucinations," and were not evaluated adequately. Nine out of 20 AI systems reportedly fabricated information and made suggestions to patients' treatment plans that weren't discussed in the recordings. Accuracy of medical notes contributed only 4 percent to the total evaluation score, while domestic presence in Ontario accounted for 30 percent.
