Zep: Unified agent memory across MCP clients
Zep says its MCP server shares persistent user memory across agents with SSO, retention policy and Zep Cloud or customer VPC deployment.
Zep describes a Memory MCP Server for an authenticated user's agent memory. The vendor says supported desktop, coding and API-based agents can access the same user graph. It describes single sign-on, per-user access boundaries, project retention policies, read-only connections by default and administrator-controlled writes. The service can run in Zep Cloud or a customer VPC.
The June announcement described a staged plan rollout. These are vendor claims about product controls, not a hands-on security test or a guarantee that every plan and deployment has the same feature set. Check current plan availability and access configuration before selecting it.
The broader product dossier is zep. See mem0 and letta for alternative memory approaches.
