Accenture reports employee outcomes from its Copilot rollout

Accenture's Microsoft case reports a phased Copilot rollout and employee-reported speed and productivity gains; it does not measure causal ROI.

Microsoft's dated customer story describes Accenture scaling Microsoft 365 Copilot from a 2023 pilot to 20,000 employees and then toward its wider workforce of roughly 743,000. Accenture's CIO describes data governance, access controls, role-specific training and peer support as part of the rollout.

The story attributes several employee-reported outcomes to 2025 Accenture data involving about 200,000 users: 97% said they completed routine tasks 15 times faster with Copilot, and 53% reported significant productivity and efficiency improvements. In a tranche of roughly 200,000 licences, Microsoft says monthly active usage reached 89%; a survey of that group found 84% said they would deeply miss the tool. These figures use different measures and must not be summed or presented as independently measured return on investment.

Microsoft is the technology vendor and publisher of this case. Its article does not give the underlying task baseline, survey questions, selection method or a controlled comparison. It separately describes an Avanade sales tool; that result belongs to Avanade, not Accenture's employee Copilot outcome.
