The Bot Company, a $2 billion San Francisco startup founded by Tesla and Cruise alumni, rented residential properties through Airbnb under false pretenses to conduct prototype testing on household robots, according to a lawsuit filed by homeowner Sean Donovan. Donovan claims the April 12-25 rental left his house damaged and is seeking $12,383.50 for repairs and lost income , while at least 12 other Airbnb hosts connected to the same guests have filed complaints alleging property damage and lease violations.
