Private analytics via zero-trust aggregation

Google Research presents a zero-trust approach to private analytics that combines cryptographic and hardware protection mechanisms to reduce trust in any single entity. The solution uses a cryptographic aggregation method that guarantees only anonymized, aggregated insights about a population can be obtained. The approach is being deployed with Android SafetyCore to improve model accuracy while preserving privacy by relying on aggregate privacy-preserving, anonymized insights instead of sensitive raw data.
