Anthropic raises Claude Code usage limits, credits new deal with SpaceX

Anthropic has signed an agreement with SpaceX to use all of the compute capacity at SpaceX's Colossus 1 data center in Memphis, Tennessee, providing access to over 300 megawatts of capacity (220,000+ NVIDIA GPUs). As a result of the deal, Anthropic doubled Claude Code five-hour usage limits for Claude Pro, Max, Team, and seat-based Enterprise plans, while also raising pay-per-token API rate limits for Claude Opus models. This partnership marks a surprising shift, as Elon Musk previously criticized Anthropic but recently expressed being impressed after meetings with company staff.
