Race control displayed a "Safety Car in this lap" message during the 2026 British Grand Prix at Silverstone, raising expectations for a final lap restart that never materialized, as the message was erroneously displayed due to a software error. Charles Leclerc won the race with the Safety Car remaining on track through to the finish.
